WE WELCOME NEW MEMBERS

HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO AT THE SUMNER BOWLING CLUB​​​​​​​

We welcome any enquiries from men and women who are interested to learn more about the great game of bowls and the Sumner Bowling Club in particular.

We offer an envied bowling environment with a superb green and a full schedule of play to suit all aspects of the game. Whether you wish to perform at the highest level or just enjoy the odd casual game you will find all your needs catered for at our superb club.

When you first start playing bowls you are classified as a 'first & second year bowler' for your first year. Then from year 2 to 5 you are classified as a "Junior". You can play against other "Juniors" or compete to play against the top players. You can set your own level of competition to match your ability and aptitude for the game. 

After your game (the part that everyone looks forward to) you can relax and enjoy our extensive clubhouse with full bar facilities and mix with the friendly local playing and social members. 

We offer a broad range of membership categories to look after everyone who cares to join. If you are new to the Sumner area joining our club is a great way to make new friends.

We also offer a social member category. That is for people who wish to become part of the club, use our extensive facilities, but do not wish to play bowls.
